Welcome to Alison Bendall – our new Director

Following on from the Incorporation of Woodward Chrisp in 2024, we are delighted to welcome Alison Bendall to our leadership team as a Director.

Alison brings over 26 years of extensive litigation experience, with a particular focus on employment law, including mediation, negotiation, investigations, and representation at the Employment Relations Authority, District Court, and High Court.

Before joining us, Alison established her own successful practice in 2018 and was previously a Partner at Burnard Bull & Co. Her career also includes time as a senior legal consultant and HR advisor, supporting businesses across Gisborne and the East Coast.

In addition to her employment law expertise, Alison advises on civil disputes, civil litigation, and family property matters, including enduring powers of attorney and Family Court applications. Known for her pragmatic and approachable style, Alison brings strong advocacy and a client-focused approach to every matter.

Outside of work, Alison actively contributes in the Gisborne community, is a Trustee of Tauawhi Trust, and previously served as President of the Gisborne Branch of the New Zealand Law Society.
