Background
Michael was born in China and moved to New Zealand in 2015. He completed his BEd (Tchg) and LLB at the University of Auckland, with study abroad experiences at the University of Virginia School of Law. Before joining Woodward Chrisp in April 2026, he worked in several sectors including education, media, and non-profit. He is currently preparing for bar admission in both New Zealand and the United States in July 2026.
Michael is developing his expertise in commercial and property law to serve the wider community on the East Coast.
Interests
Outside of work, Michael practices the Japanese martial art of Iaido, and he enjoys travelling and listening to country music.
