Background
Justin graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in Albuquerque, USA in 2009. He passed the New Mexico State Bar in 2009 and the Alaska State Bar in 2012.
He had been living and working as a criminal defence attorney in Alaska for 14 years until his move with his family to Gisborne in November 2026.
Justin joined Woodward Chrisp in May 2026 as a law clerk supporting the firm in various areas of law while he works to obtain his New Zealand law license.
Interests
Outside of spending time with his family, Justin keeps busy playing squash at the surf city squash club in Gisborne, exploring and fishing around New Zealand, and cooking.
