Background
Michael was born and raised in Gisborne and returned to the region after completing his studies at Victoria University. Michael is from a large family and is of Maori descent with iwi affiliations to Ngati Porou and Rongowhakaata. He was admitted to the bar in December 2013 in Gisborne.
Interests
Going to the beach, surfing, tennis, watching the occasional movie and tv programme and spending time with family, friends and dog Jock.
