Background
Esther is a Tairāwhiti local, born and raised in Gisborne with whakapapa ties to Tikitiki, Kāwhia and Raglan. Esther has worked in legal administration between Gisborne and Wellington in various criminal, conservation, estates and family law roles.
Interests
Outside of being a legal secretary in the family team, Esther’s musical interests take over most of her life. She plays cornet and trumpet in the Gisborne Civic Brass Band, Gisborne Concert Band, a local latin-flavoured band, “Lars & The Clandestinos” and most recently has taken up the double bass which she is very excited about.
Esther lives with her equally musically-inclined partner Jude and one grumpy black cat.
