Caroline was born in Wellington but Cantabrian raised. After high school, she went to the University of Otago with the hopes of becoming a doctor.

Instead, she developed an interest in Cultural Anthropology and French. She later returned home to Christchurch where she studied Law at the University of Canterbury.

She volunteered at Community Law Canterbury for their Family Legal Advice Clinic which initially sparked her interest in family law.

In her spare time, she enjoys baking, playing golf (poorly), walking, and playing videogames.

She looks forward to exploring the hiking trails, golf courses, and other natural beauties of the Gisborne region.
